Where is The Sweet Shop located?
The Sweet Shop is a state-permit approved facility located in the Smithville, TN / Center Hill Lake area.
Please call ahead as we are open By Appointment Only, Thursday-Saturday.
*Tasting appointments for Wedding orders may be booked on off days.
What factors are considered in The Sweet Shop cake prices?
Two main factors are considered when determining cake price: 1) time involved in a particular design, and 2) level of difficulty/creativity required.
Other factors affecting price include: ingredients, custom fondant toppers, embellishments and/or other edible details, as well as equipment/supplies needed.
What form of payment does The Sweet Shop accept?
The Sweet Shop accepts cash, venmo, or check as a form of payment.
NOTE: If you are a first-time customer and your order is more than $50.00, cash is required. In addition, orders totaling $60.00 or more require a half-down payment at least one week prior to pick-up date.
*Wedding orders do not apply to this policy.
How much notice is needed for orders at The Sweet Shop?
Though not always necessary, we suggest 3-4 months notice for weddings/large orders, most Summer dates (May-August) & October often require the latter.
For other orders, including custom birthday cakes, it is suggested that you contact us at least 3 weeks in advance, more if possible. More notice is needed if event is on, or near, a holiday. Exceptions may be made for sheet cakes.
How do I cancel an order already booked with The Sweet Shop?
If an existing order must be canceled, we need at least 3 days notice. The cancellation MUST be done via phone call: 615-473-3308.
